•Using a cocktail stick, take a small amount of food colour paste out of the pot and wipe on to your sugarpaste. Be sure to use a clean stick each time you add more colouring.
•Knead to stir well until the colouring has completely blended. Top Tip: Bright red and pitch black can be difficult to achieve. For deep colours, let your pastes or buttercream rest overnight so the colour can absorb better. Be sure to seal the product airtight. Knead or mix again the next day and you will notice the colour is deeper and more vibrant.
•Add extra colouring if desired and stir or knead well again.
•Top Tip: Make sure the colouring paste stays in the middle of the paste to prevent covering your hands. If this happens, rinse with soap and water.
