•Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 2 / 150°C.
•Add 400ml/14 fl oz of water per 1kg of cake mix.
•Beat on medium speed for approximately 5 minutes.
•For a deep 8” or 9“ cake, separate the mix between two tins to reduce cooking time.
•Cover the top of the tins with tin foil. If added into 2 tins, bake for around 35 minutes. Extra hot ovens may need checking more often.
•Check your bake with a skewer. If the skewer does not come out clean, then reduce oven temperature slightly and bake longer.
