Medium - 20-30g / 4-4.5cm

 

Ammonite shells are an interesting material, rust red to brown colour on the inside and a grey outer shell with iridescent rainbow finish.

Ammonites belong to the marine family of cephalopods, they evolved around 200 million years ago and went extinct around the same time as the Dinosaurs. The shell was thier protective layer against predators.
