The combination of chocolate and vanilla flavours will please even the most refined palates at times when you just want a little something sweet and elegant. Why not try a triple layer cake, to really show the texture and colour of your cake. Perfect for party traybakes, cupcakes or sponges, this Red Velvet baking powder gives light and airy bakes every time – and an amazing colour!
Our innovative product is currently one of the very few red velvet baking options without the use of popular yet contentious additives like E129, E124, E122, E110, E104, and E102.
Each 21g sachet retains both the power-raising-ability and wonderful colouring and aroma. Just follow your favourite recipe for a simple or sponge cake, but replace the baking powder with this one and your plain cake will turn into a stunning red velvet! You don’t need to add any colouring or flavour. For a typical family-sized cake, we recommend you add 2 generous teaspoons / half-sachet for the best results. Optionally if you want a stronger chocolatey flavour, you can add an extra 10g of cocoa.
Blend the baking powder into your dry mix, then add to the liquid. Your bakes will benefit from placing in the oven as soon as dry and wet ingredients are mixed together, to ensure maximum volume and airiness.
