Leeds based Awen Ensemble release debut album 'Cadair Idris' to critical acclaim from supporters such as Gilles Petersen, Jamz Supernova, Clash, Uncut & KLOF Magazine. The alternative jazz-folk ensemble have penned an album based on the myths and legends on Welsh mountain Cadair Idris, with Emyr Penry-Dance's sublime trumpet melding with the ethereal vocals of singer Amy Clarke who form part of the 7-piece group.
With support on BBC 6 Music, Radio 2, Jazz FM, Bandcamp Weekly and Soho Radio, the group will be embarking on a 16 date UK tour following the album's vinyl release on April 12th.
