A gluten-free diet is a diet that strictly excludes gluten, which is a mixture of proteins found in wheat, as well as barley, rye. Grains such as corn, rice and quinoa also contain gluten, they don't tend to cause the same problems as wheat, barley, rye. Although gluten is safe for most people, those with conditions like ceoliac disease and other conditions associated with gluten should avoid it to prevent adverse health effects (Journal, Diabete Spectrum. 2017 May; 30(2): 118–123). A gluten-free diet is also popular with people who have not been diagnosed with a gluten based condition. Almond Flour
•PINK SUN Almond Flour (organic or non-organic) is a delicious alternative for gluten free cooking and baking. Low in carbohydrate and high in protein and fibre. Made from high quality (organic or non-organic) unpasteurised blanched ground almonds that are not treated with PPO. For best results use with reputable almond flour recipes that require a high grade flour or ground almonds, such as those from Elana's Pantry. Suggested use: macarons, cakes, muffins, brownies, bread, pancakes, crackers, fritters, thickening sauces, curries. No additives or preservatives. Country of Origin: Spain
Coconut Flour
•PINK SUN Raw Certified Organic Coconut Flour is a delicious low carb alternative for gluten free cooking and baking. For best results use with reputable coconut flour recipes that require a high grade coconut baking flour. Cannot be used as a substitute for wheat flour at a ratio of 1:1. Suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians. Cholesterol free. Suggested uses: cakes, brownies, pastry, tarts, pancakes, biscuits, thickening sauces, sprinkle on cereal. Porridge Oats
•PINK SUN gluten free porridge oats have been carefully grown and produced to ensure there is no cross contamination from other gluten containing grains such as wheat, rye or barley. This includes dedicated monitoring throughout the entire supply chain, from transport, to storage and packing in specialised gluten free facilities to maintain the strict gluten free status. PINK SUN gluten free porridge oats provide a plant based, high energy, high fibre, low fat, gluten free breakfast (warm or cold porridge) and can be used in smoothies, gluten free homemade muesli recipes, homemade flapjacks and more! Produced as a medium to large flake size, these oats are soft and break down easily into smaller sized oat flakes and particles, especially with movement in the post. Dusty particles are to be expected, the oats will not be thick and uniform in size. For making porridge it is recommended that oats are soaked overnight. Country of Origin: UK
