The Clearwater 3-in-1 Hot Tub, Pool and Spa test strips make caring for your water simple, measuring chlorine, pH and alkalinity to indicate what chemicals are needed to prevent harmful bacteria entering your water.
Simply dip a strip in your water and remove it immediately, hold it level for 15 seconds and then use a simple guide on bottle to read the results.
These strips test for:
Free Chlorine - the correct free chlorine level helps keep the pool or spa water safe and bacteria free. The free chlorine level should be maintained between 1-3mg/l (ppm) for pools or 3-5mg/l (ppm) for spas
pH - the pH level of your water is important as it helps to ensure the water is comfortable for bathers and water is neither too acidic nor too alkali. Aim for a pH reading of between 7.2 and 7.6. Chlorine also works more efficiently when the pH is in the ideal range.
Total Alkalinity - Total Alkalinity refers to the ability of the water to resist a change in pH. If the total alkalinity of the water is correct, the pH level should resist wide fluctuations and stay more stable. Maintain the total alkalinity level of your pool or spa water between 80-120mg/l (ppm)
