Zoo Med ReptiSafe makes tap water safe for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates, converting it to a safe, clean and healthy source of water for drinking, bathing and swimming. ReptiSafe was the first instant terrarium water conditioner. Great for reptile water bowls, chameleon drip water systems, amphibian enclosures, and aquatic turtle tanks.
ReptiSafe removes chloramines and chlorine, detoxifies ammonia and nitrites, and provides essential ions and electrolytes which help to hydrate newly acquired animals. A necessity for amphibian care, and also great for newly imported wild animals. It also stimulates slime coat development in amphibians and fish.
Although tap water is perfectly safe for human consumption, it contains chlorines, chloramines and metals which can be harmful to reptiles and particularly amphibians if ingested in large quantities. Zoo Med ReptiSafe Water Conditioner gets rid of all this, and simultaneously adds electrolytes and ions that will quickly hydrate your animals.
It also helps remove ammonia which may be present in the water from the animals defecating in it and simultaneously reduces pH levels, making your animal’s water and environment safer.
For terrarium water bowls: Add 2 drops of ReptiSafe to every 240ml of tap water. Add ReptiSafe as directed every time water is changed.
For large volumes of water used to house aquatic species add 5 ml of ReptiSafe per 19 litres of tap water. Treat all new or replacement water.
