Red petalled roses that mirror the iconic scarlet coats of the British Army veterans that call the Royal Hospital Chelsea home.
These radiant Hybrid Tea blooms, each with up to 50 red petals, coat a plant of mid to dark green foliage, with glossy leaves across summer. Pointy buds scatter across the bushy plant, before gently opening to reveal fragrant flowers that can stretch up to 10cm across, packed full of petals that are soft to touch, yet resilient in wet and windy conditions. The 'Chelsea Pensioner' was proudly launched at the 2024 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
We are delighted to donate £2.50 from the sale of each rose to the Royal Hospital Chelsea (registered charity no. 1076414). This is a charity-run home for retired veterans of the British Army, offering care and comradeship to around 300 former servicemen and women, based in London.
