The Hoody 1 is a fire-safe ceiling speaker hood. The hood fits to the back of your ceiling speaker to restore some of the ceiling's strength that is lost with a speaker cutout. This cover fits over 5 to 7-inch speakers and also reduces upwards sound leakage. This hood's fire protection is important in many structures and increases safety in the home or workplace.
This ceiling speaker fire hood is easy to install since it fits over the speaker's rear in its cutout. Without a speaker fire hood, a fire will quickly spread to higher floors via the ceiling cutout. The hood can withstand a 90-minute fire and is suitable for plasterboard or suspended ceilings.
This Hoody 1 fire hood meets all UK building requirements. Especially on lower floors and in newer buildings, placing ceiling speakers requires safety precautions like these hoods. Fire-proofing speakers using the Hoody 1 is recommended for all in-ceiling setups.
