About our eye masks:

 

Our beautiful and luxurious eye masks are made from 19 momme grade 6A Mulberry silk with a soft padding within. This helps to muffle sounds while you sleep and block out rays of light without being too bulky, ensuring maximum comfort. It is in a ‘bat man’ style to fit comfortably around the bridge of the nose, and has a Velcro strap, meaning it is fully adjustable. Those with false eyelashes would find the masks particularly useful as there is minimal friction and can be adjusted for a looser fit.

About our bonnets:

 

These super soft silk bonnets are made from 19 momme grade 6A Mulberry silk, and are fully reversible, meaning that not only is the outside pure silk, but so is the inside. This ensures maximum protection against frizzy ‘bed head’ and helps to maintain hairstyles. The back of the bonnet is elasticated so that it can adapt to varying head sizes or volumes of hair.

Benefits

Silk is a breathable fabric as the fibres allow air to flow through. This means that it helps you to stay cool in the summer. However, don’t be fooled, silk also helps to regulate temperature, making it a brilliant insulator too, meaning that you will stay warm in the colder weathers as well.

Hair can benefit from a silk bonnet. Due to the smooth surface of the silk, there is less friction than your average bonnet, or from laying your head directly onto a cotton pillowcase, so you’re less likely to wake up with frizzy ‘bed head’. 

Silk, and therefore our silk eye masks,  are less absorbent than cotton, so any creams or lotions that you put on your skin will stay where you put it, rather than being soaked up by your pillowcase, meaning you can reap their benefits to their entirety.

Material

Our bonnets and eye masks are made from 100% 19 momme grade 6A Mulberry silk. Being a 19 momme silk means that it is less dense and therefore lighter than our silk bedding. This proves a weightless and therefore more comfortable feel when you are wearing it at night. Grade 6A means that it is the highest quality silk with both ‘6’ and ‘A’ being the highest on their respective scales.
