Compact and simply gorgeous, this 'Fuji Cherry' bursts into flower even before the foliage has chance to form from late winter to early spring, year after year!
Flowers start as red buds, appearing to almost dance around the branches, opening before too long to reveal beautiful pale-pink flowers, each still red at the centre. Perfect for small garden or growing in a pot on the patio, 'Kojo-No-Mai' even provides interest in autumn, when leaves turn from green to bright reddish orange, before falling. The statuesque form of the tree is also a joy to observe on frosty mornings, as a haw-frost will show it off to its very best.
Available here as an eye-catching 'standard' form, this beautiful spring wonder has been skilfully grafted into a lollipop-like shape, with a tall, clear stem and a ball of foliage and flower to the top. This is a really unique and exciting way to bring colour and life to your garden or pots. Perfect for growing in decorative containers on the patio, and because of the standard form it will remain compact and can therefore be grown in even the smallest of spaces, such as a terrace or balcony.
'Kojo-No-Mai' is fully winter hardy regardless of the weather, and with just a little prune need to keep it in the desirable shape, it's a great choice for a spot of 'easy gardening'!
