Rose Quartz 18k Gold Plated Hoop Earrings

Rose Quartz is formed through the process of magma crystallisation. This process begins when magma is pushed up towards the earth's crust and makes its way through empty pockets of stone, picking up different minerals along the journey. Eventually, the magma rises enough to cool gradually, meaning that magma that entered stone pockets is trapped there while it cools. As the magma cools, silicon mixes with oxygen and begins to form a quartz crystal. The quartz crystal grows as more silicon and oxygen combine while the magma further cools. If titanium is present during the cooling process, it will also integrate with the silicon and oxygen forming the quartz crystal. The titanium creates an impurity in the quartz, which causes the rose coloured appearance, thus creating Rose Quartz.
