Henna Application & Aftercare Instructions
For the best and darkest henna stain, follow these simple application and aftercare steps carefully.
Before Applying Henna
☑️ Wash your hands/arms with soap and water to remove any dirt, oils, or moisturizers. Clean skin allows the henna to stain better.
☑️ Dry your skin completely before application.
Any moisture or oil can prevent the henna from adhering properly.
Application Process
Apply the henna using the cone and let it dry completely.
☑️ Once the henna is touch-dry, you can apply a sealant for a darker stain. (Optional but recommended)
• Sealant Recipe: Mix sugar and lemon juice and apply it lightly with a cotton ball or spray bottle.
Leave the henna on for at least 4-8 hours (overnight for best results). The longer you leave it, the darker the stain will be.
Removing the Henna Paste
DOT NOT wash off the dried henna with water.
Instead, gently scrape it off by crumbling or rubbing it.
☑️ Apply any natural oil (coconut oil, olive oil, or mustard oil) to remove any leftover henna flakes.
Henna Aftercare for a Darker Stain
Avoid water contact for 24 hours. Water can lighten the stain before it fully develops.
☑️ Keep your hands warm. Henna loves heat, so staying warm helps deepen the stain color.
☑️ Avoid using soaps or harsh cleaning products on the hennaed area for at least 24-48 hours.
Henna Stain Development
Initially, your henna stain will appear bright orange.
• Over the next 24-48 hours, it will darken to a deep maroon or rich brown shade.
• The final color depends on skin type, warmth, and aftercare.
Henna Cone Storage Instructions
Always store henna cones in the freezer inside a zip-lock bag when not in use.
