For best results, pre-treat the leather with our Angelus Preparer and Deglazer before painting. This will guarantee that the new layer of Angelus leather paint will stick properly, as it removes grease, dirt and a factory-applied finisher, ensuring perfect adhesion of the new paint to the leather.
Applying Angelus NEON Leather Paint
When applying Angelus neon paint, we recommend following the steps below:
•Before you start painting, make the product dust- and grease-free and remove the factory finisher (if any). For this, it is best to use our Preparer and Deglazer.
•Apply the first layer evenly (and not too thick!) and let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
•Then apply subsequent coats thinly as well. Does it cover sufficiently and achieve the desired result? Then wait at least 24 hours until you can use the dyed product.
•You can use a finisher, ranging from matt to high gloss, for the best results.
How much Angelus Leather Paint do I need?
•A small 1 oz bottle contains enough paint for a pair of leather shoes.
•With the large 4 oz version, you can dye a car seat or dining room chair made of leather.
•For a small two-seat sofa, use 4 bottles of 4 oz each of leather paint as a rule.
•The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed is normally half the amount of paint used.
