For those who are sensitive to strong flavours, there is a toothpaste called oraNurse® that has no flavour. The original purpose of oraNurse® Unflavoured Toothpaste was to meet the needs of autistic children who have taste issues, even to the point of disliking the taste of water. This led to the creation of toothpaste with a variety of fluoride strengths, an RDA (relative dentin abrasion) value of 29,68, and no flavourings or sodium lauryl sulphate (a foaming agent). It has a daily recommend fluoride and is SLS free (non- foaming).
Other potential signs that a flavorless toothpaste is required are; those who dislike the strong flavor of mint. Adults and children who experience the "hot" or "burning" sensation of mint. Also, this has resulted in a flavour or sodium lauryl sulphate and with 1000ppm fluoride for children aged 0-3 years and 1450ppm fluoride for children aged 4 years plus and the original adult formula. Ingredients: Aqua, hydrated silica, glycerine, Sorbitol, Xylitol, cellulose gum and sodium benzoate
