Product description
Dashi Kombu is a dried Japanese kelp that's used to make dashi, a salty and flavourful soup stock that's a key ingredient in many Japanese dishes.
With its salty, strong taste, it can be used as a base for miso and udon soups.
It is easy to use, just break off a 4-6 inch piece, simmer in hot water, and let steep for up to half an hour.
Do not worry about the white spots you may see. These are called "mannitto" or "umami seibun" in Japanese and are part of the natural drying process
