What is an Aroma Oil?
Quite simply, an aroma is made from synthetic fragrance and is sometimes mixed with a small amount of essential oil. Due to the dilution, aroma oils are usually milder than essential oils. The purpose of an aroma oil is in the name. It’s to create a wonderful fragrance to suit the mood of the user. Aroma oil is therefore added to wax to create wax melts and candles but can also be used in an aroma oil diffuser (either electric or ceramic).
How does an Aroma Oil Diffuser work?
A volume of water is added to a diffuser followed by a few drops of aroma oil according to personal preference on strength of scent. A heat source is then applied (a tea light for a ceramic burner or the flick of a switch for an electric burner) thereby heating the water which releases scented steam into the air.
