Bursting with fruit, our Blackberry & Rosemary 'Special Reserve' Aged Balsamic Vinegar is absolutely stunning; rich, thick & sweet with no bitterness.
As a finalist in the Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food Awards 2012/3, this is a firm favourite with customers & definitely a store-cupboard essential.
Perfect for bread-dipping, drizzling on salads (especially goat's cheese), anything gamey, steak, halloumi or even desserts. It works beautifully with rich meats like venison, lamb, goose & duck too - just a few drops over meat as you serve with add huge flavour.
Add a drizzle to any salad - especially goat's cheese - couscous or quinoa, cheese boards & more. As well as a bread-dipper, it's the perfect partner to roast vegetables or tomatoes & excels when a few drops are drizzled over duck, lamb, venison or any game.
Add a few drops to a stir fry, gravy or jus for an extra special sauce or make a marinade by adding a dash to oil, crushed garlic, thyme and whatever else you fancy: marinate meat for a few hours before cooking as usual and you'll have a dish sure to become a household favourite.
Try a drizzle on thick greek yoghurt on pancakes, muesli or bircher in the morning for a fruity kick. It works on a cheese board too, especially harder cheeses like parmesan or pecorino, or on sautéed greens & veg. It's thick enough to use as a glaze but without the artificial thickeners or sweetness you find in other inferior glazes.
The base balsamic is a beautiful, authentic aged balsamic that we import from Modena ourselves, home of the World's finest balsamic vinegars. As a GREAT TASTE AWARD WINNER, the judges said this about it:
