Pear - Santa Maria - My Exotic Fruit

Santa Maria pears are large in size and elongated in shape. When they are ripe, they have eye-catching yellowish-green speckled skin that is smooth, delicate, and often boasts an attractive pink blush on the sun-exposed shoulder. Beneath their appealing skin is aromatic, creamish-white flesh that will delight your tastebuds with its heavenly flavour: the tender flesh is succulent, crisp, and wonderfully sweet, complemented by subtle tart undertones. There are only a few minuscule brown seeds encased within the flesh, meaning you have even more fruit to enjoy!

Although unbelievably delicious when eaten fresh out of hand, Santa Maria pears are also extremely versatile, perfect for use in a number of recipes.
