Matthews mills this plain flour from a blend of the highest quality soft wheat, to produce a fine consistency, rich in flavour. This flour can be used for making pastries, cakes, shortbreads, sauces, and many more delicious sweet and savoury products.
MILLING & GRAIN PROVENANCE
We source our soft wheat from our local Cotswold Grain Partnership. The fields surrounding the mill are great for soft wheat flour. We prepare our grain in 100-year-old pine wood bins before milling. Soft wheat is best for culinary flour like Plain Flour, Pastry Flour, Cake Flour, and Self-Raising Flour. All of our flour is unbleached flour.
