Frosted Amber Glass Link Necklace

Measurements

The link measures 26mm by 35mm.

The link is finished with a 45cm (18 inch) sterling silver trace chain. The chain closes with a bolt ring clasp which fastens through a jump ring.

How is this necklace made?

Creating this piece starts with creating the link which is then annealed again before being tumble polished for several hours to give a frosted finish like sea glass. Finally the link is cleaned, polished and put onto a chain.

Each link  is made individually in our Yorkshire studio. The links are created freehand rather than using a mould making every one unique. The frosted finish gives a velvety texture to the link,  so it's a lovely thing to play with as well as wear.
