Crafted from 40mm Thick Oak - these beautifully made oak stakes have a real sturdy and outstanding design. The edge of the oak memorial plaque is also finished with a deep beveled edge as pictured to really help show the depth and natural beauty. We only use premium joinery grade, air dried oak to make our memorial tree stakes so you can only expect the best oak to be used to create your memorial stake. We cut, plane, make and engrave all of our oak memorial stakes in our Kent-based workshop so we can guarantee that quality that you would expect. Natural Burial Ground Memorials - we know that if you're looking for a memorial tree stake for a natural burial ground or garden then it requires the oak to be in its natural form - this is why we give the option for customers to have the stake treated or left natural and also whether to have the carved engraving left natural or hand painted. Oak Stake - treated on untreated? Unless, as stated above, you require your plaque for a natural burial ground - we would recommend having your memorial tree stake treated by us with a superior oak oil. This will help ensure the longevity and look of the stake. Alternatively, you can have the stake left untreated and it will naturally weather and 'silver' overtime. V-Carved Lettering - Painted or left natural? If you require your plaque for a natural burial ground - its likely you would need to have your v-carved lettering left natural to be in keeping with ground rules. If you do not have restrictions in place, you can opt to have your deep carved lettering hand painted in either white or black. The perks to having your lettering hand painted once engraved is the engraving on your oak memorial stake will really stand out. The black text helps create a beautiful contrast which makes the engraving really stand out! Having the engraved text left natural will make the engraving more subtle and the engraving will appear different at varying angles, as the light fills the deeply engraved text.
