Crack your own geodes, are a beautiful and fun way to delve into crystals. It is fun for all ages, and each geode will have a unique surprise inside.
To safely crack open the geode, place it in a sock or cover it in a cloth. You can then hit it with a hammer and chisel, or just a hammer however this will have a less clean crack.
Light hit the geode continuously until it has cracked down the Center and then remove it from the cloth you have covered it and see how it looks inside.
Be safe whilst cracking the geodes, ensure children under 18 are supervised at all times. The geode is covered in cloth to prevent shattering, and wear safety goggles. And keep a reasonable distance away.
