Just 1 tsp added to rice as you are cooking it is more than enough to give it a huge flavour boost. As it cooks, the spice will gently infuse levels of flavour so your rice won't be the bland part of the meal.

Of course, this also works as a seasoning or rub for other things too. Throw a good pinch over potatoes or veggies before you roast them, or rub onto any meat or fish. If you want to make it into a quick marinade, add a splash of oil. It's great on paneer or halloumi too.
