Organic ceremonial matcha - made in Shizuoka, Japan
Our everyday drinking ceremonial matcha is made in the famous Japanese tea growing region of Shizuoka, where the fertile soils contain some of the highest water quality in the world.
To create matcha, tea bushes are covered in shade to brighten the green leaf colour for a number of weeks. Artisans carefully select leaves to pick at the correct time of year, which are then crushed into a fine powder that creates this superb bright health giving tea. The matcha is then blended to perfection for the ultimate taste.
Ingredients
Our matcha is organic Japanese green tea powder. Nothing else. It is completely vegan and gluten-free.
Preparation
With a typical serving size of 1g, the 40g you get of this daily tea could last for over a month. Some people prefer to have their matcha a little thicker, and can use up to 2g of powder.
You can drink ceremonial matcha with 80°C hot water - that’s the best and traditional way to enjoy it!
First sieve the powder to remove any small clumps. Next, whisk the powder with a small amount of hot water to make a paste, then top up with more hot water.
