MR WATCHMAN'S PROVEN FORMULA OF 1907
Mites are picked up in grass, often dropped by Foxes and can cause SEVERE ITCHING in the EARS, FEET and around your dog's BOTTOM.
PLEASE SEE THE EXAMPLE PHOTOS OF A FOX MITE INFESTATION.
If left untreated Fox mites can cause many other issues. Treat the mites and you may just find that other problems they can cause will soon disappear.
•Is your dog scratching at their ears?
•Is your dog shaking their head or rubbing it on the floor?
•Does your dog have smelly brown waxy scabs inside the ears?
•Does your dog have red sores, inflammation or blood clots caused by constant scratching
•Do the ears have a strong yeasty smell or worse an offensive rotten smell?
•Does your dog lick and nibble at their feet and toes?
•Is your dog rubbing their bottom on the floor?
•Does you dog have all over intense body scratching?
If the answer is YES to any of the above, It is possible that your dog may have picked up fox mites whilst out walking or even from your garden. Usually these are found in the Ears, between the toes and under the tail but an australian vet has also isolated a mite that transfers itself into the scurf on the body.
The mite is extremely tiny and vets can find nothing wrong, even with skin scrapings they give the dog a clean bill of health. Shampooing is useless.

EARS - For dogs with hairy inner ears
TREATMENT - Just apply a pinch of powder around the ear hole (SEE PHOTOS) and gently massage in with your fingers from the outside. Apply twice a day if your pet is infected and continue for 1-5 DAYS. Immediate relief comes with the first dose.
EARS - For dogs with little or no hair in ears
Simply use a small clean makeup brush or similar and dip it into the powder. Work it around the ear hole and gently just inside the ear hole.
When the brown wax starts to move, stop the treatment, as this means the mites are dead. It can take a while for the wax to be naturally pushed out from the ear, this is normal. As the wax begins to loosen and come out, you can then gently clean out the ear.
DUST WEEKLY TO PREVENT REINFESTATION.

If your pet is pulling his bottom on the floor and it's not a gland problem, then mites may be breeding under the tail.
TREATMENT - Dip a soft clean small brush into the powder and dust around the bottom and under the tail. Please thoroughly clean your brush after application and allow to dry.

Mites can get between the toes causing your pet to lick constantly and nibble into their paws making them extremely sore.
TREATMENT - Use a small soft clean brush, dip it into the powder and work it between the toes. Turn the foot over and work between the pads.
Alernatively, Put a little bit of thornit into a clear plastic bag. Put your dog's paw into the bag and shake and work the thornit between the toes, pads and a little way up the foot.

ALL OVER BODY INTENSE SCRATCHING
TREATMENT - Simply dust thornit lightly onto the skin and for dogs with longer coats, just part the hair with a comb and feed a trickle onto the skin, work into the skin with a small soft clean brush. A little thornit goes a long way!!

Full instructions come with your thornit. Remember a little bit goes a long way! DO NOT MIX OR USE WITH ANY LIQUIDS OR OTHER POWDERS.
The main ingredient is Iodoform, which has a distinctive medicated smell that helps discourage mites. Boric is also one of the ingredients that acts as an effective antiseptic to help with the damage that may be caused by the animal’s constant scratching. Zinc Oxide is also added as a drying and curing agent that helps irritation and to stop the itch cycle.
All of the balanced ingredients of Thornit are mixed together and ground down to a powder as finely as possible to help you with easy administration.
STORE IN A COOL DRY PLACE AND KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
